I appreciate God so much like?? Whenever I'm having anxieties or self doubt I can take comfort in Him and it is so much better than my mindset a few years ago

Like when I was younger I would get into really bad mental spaces and verbally berate myself and put myself down, which I'm trying desperately to grow out of

But being a Christian has significantly improced my character, my maturity, my response to antagonism etc etc. Like I still have the knee jerk reaction to get mad and lash out to defend myself, but now I try and take time to understand why someone may say these things and how to better handle it

Also just wanted to say you don't have to be a minority to experience persecution and harassment, I've been harassed the most for being a Christian meanwhile I've only once experienced genuine harassment for my race

Also it was children bullying me and being racist har har so hopefully they matured and grew out of that, otherwise it won't be nice for them and btw they were also a minority group!! People never talk about racism unless it's between white people and colored people

Tbh social media is so exhausting 😠people get worked up over every little thing like "you missed a spot on your painting so now I'm gonna harass you" like please save your energy for important things

I actually have cousins of the same race who just hate black people. I didn't know that was possible, but it exists. It was very eye opening to how racism can be between anyone of any rave. Even their own.

AIE SORRY FOR THE LATE POST I didn't see you there! You are so right, it's also interesting how sexism can be towards one's own gender, like the case of a "pick-me girl". I think in either case it's likely due to them stereotyping almost everyone else and believing that they alone are different from that harmful stereotype

taking a genuine break from social media can be super refreshing tbh. i deleted all of mine and took a long break a few years ago, and it really changed everything for me

That sounds really nice, I'm honestly considering taking a hiatus from places like Discord and YouTube shorts or other online spots I frequent that tend to be a negative influence on my mood
