What is neopronoun?

Tbh I was raised in a homophobic family. And a community. All my life i've lived here,
Gay people get beaten up
Transgender people are discriminated, Bisexuals are avoided
It isn't good that lgbtq people are treated that way. As in, everyone has their own life. It's their choice, If they wanna live their life that way. -
There's this thread online from that website, where a lesbian said some stuff and people started coming in and saying somethings that they considered offensive and they started throwing daggers at every single person.
The thread had close to 10000 views in less than a day.
I haven't had a good experience with gay people irl tbh. The few ones that were friends hated me all of a sudden because i was straight
Ah, so i'm just neutral with everybody. -
Personally, it's up to the individual. Not all LGBTQ+ people are mean, although I will admit that there are some who act like they're entitled. But, on the opposite end of that, not all straight people are mean to LGBTQ+ people, though there are some who act entitled. It's really up to the individual to choose how they'll be.
But, I came in here to answer your question, as I use neopronouns, myself. Neo pronouns are other words used as pronouns, in short, or perhaps words you've not heard before that an individual chose to use as their personal pronouns. There are thousands of neo pronouns out there. They're called "neo pronounse" because they are new terms, so to speak, to address someone, different than the typical "He/she/they/it". Neo pronouns can include "Xe/xem", "Fae/faers", "ey/em", and it can include words like "Da/dark", "Fox/foxs". Neo pronouns are different for each individual, and while they do require a lot of work to remember, it shows that you care about the person, in attempting to remember how to correctly address them. I know a few people here use similar neo pronouns to mine. But there are differences that should be taken into consideration, respectively.
I use "Xe/xem/xyr/xyrs/xemself"
Others use "Xey/xem/xyr/xemself"
Still, others might use "Xey/xem/xir/xemself"
Slight differences, but for each person, their exact pronouns are important to them, so if you try to make an effort, it won't be frowned upon if you get their pronouns wrong. They will help you because they see you're interested in validating their pronouns and them, as well. If you ever don't know how to address someone or how to use their pronouns, just ask. It should never offend someone to be asked what their pronouns are. It shows that the one with the question is interested in getting it right. -
Thank you for that post
