Honestly I asked so many questions when I was little that my parents didn't know how to explain to a 3 yr old. I only remember like two of them because it was so long ago.
One of them was while we were in the grocery store, why was the plastic of the sample cup different than the plastic of the handle on the shopping cart. She used an analogy of how there's different flavors of cake but they're all cake.
But I didn't want an analogy. I wanted a real answer. So it turned into an I'll tell you when you're older thing.
The other one was on a road trip at night. I was looking out the window and I said that I could see the points of the stars.
My mom said, "No you don't, stars don't have points."
Now, this is baffling news to a 3 yr old. So, of course, I asked why.
Then my mom realized how hard it was to explain to someone as young as I was that there's giant balls of burning gass in the sky millions and millions of miles away. And she knew that was only going to lead to more questions like how does gas float in space, and why doesn't space have gravity, and things like that. So she said I'll tell you when you're older. -
"How did my little sister end up in your stomach? 🤨"

Why the sky was blue and it didn't snow in the summer.

My parents are unique in that they almost never did this. I asked a lot of questions too and my parents always did their best to answer them, even if they didn't know the answer to something they'd look for the answer and then would explain it to me. I ended up asking about outer space a lot, and that's how my interest in it began. Eventually instead of just answering questions my parents started to buy me books about it, but most of the time I flkew right through them (my mom also taught me to read really early on) so eventually my parents got tired of doing that and just bought me a big stack of much more advanced books, hoping it would take me awhile to go through those, and it did. Those were the books I was constantly reading until the time in my life where I went to middle school and started using the internet.

Yeah, my parents were a lot like that too. They always did their best to answer my questions, it was just hard to fit it into 3 yr old language.
