[I feel highly uncomfortable that you quoted me to try and support your point.]
-
Ravager, don't post in my threads anymore.
-
Bro this isn't even your thread?
And sorry about that. -
The1foryou was extremely homophobic and he stayed until his posting timer got so high he chose to leave. This site has had several users with bigoted views who stay either to spread their hatred, or for other reasons.
Being on a site with lots of lgbtqia+ people isn't proof of not holding outdated and harmful views.
I think the main thing that hurts people is you don't make an effort to apologise or learn from what people try to tell you.
And denying raiden's point, and then trying to use xe's qoute to back up your point is quite thoughtless, in my opinion. -
Just reminding you cuz u were more active on this thread
Ok bye -
Doubt this will cahnge anything, but I should say, with the exception of Teatime, I don't hate any of you. I think you guys are all really cool. I'm not mad because you guys don't like the joke, I'm mad because of this accusatory bulls---.

If a majority lgbtqia+ people feel you're making fun of them, then the issue isn't with them. Maybe you should evaluate the type of humour you're using? If it hurts people so much.

and wait, they were? I just thought they were someone's alt -
No, the1foryou was a real user.

and also, I was considering apologizing for being rude to fifidee, the only reason I didn't was because of the DNI.

The thing is, you've been told time and time again how these jokes come across and how they make people feel. The way this reads to me is making a joke about asking someone's pronouns- something that is commonly ridiculed today.
-
I don't think the joke should have been made at all. Not today, not in a week when things "cool down."
-
Ravager, you are making a complete and utter fool out of yourself. Let's say you genuinely didn't mean for your joke to be offensive. All you would need to do is apologize that your joke came out that way, and understand where people are coming from. As well as not do it again. Instead, you got incredibly rude and defensive, and I'll tell you right now, that does NOT look good.
This isn't the way to handle this situation. People are trying to set boundaries with you, and you are brushing those boundaries off like they are nothing.
People have told you how these jokes are perceived, and you keep doing it. People want to feel respected, and you're not making people feel that way.
