I'm from Nebraska and the biggest thing I've noticed is how no one out of state understands why we serve cinnamon rolls with chili.
Like one times this one girl who was about my age just randomly walked up to me and said, "Okay, I'm from South Dakota and I've heard how Nebraska always serves chili with cinnamon rolls. Why?"
And whenever people move here they always ask why it's always chili and cinnamon rolls. -
I'm from the middle area of Connecticut. There we have a way of over enunciating or under enunciating certain words. Like dog always sounds like dawg. No one pronounces the g's at the end of the words. So it's always thinkin or learnin. I know other people do that but it's like a southern community in the north.

we're the only ones who 'drink garri with milk, sugar, groundnuts, and cold water. Many people have forgotten this tradition, and most people have never done this before.
-
What's garri?
-
That's actually a very funny question. Garri, or cassava flakes(?), the one used in making eba. There is also ekangarri, the one without starch.

I'll take it you've never heard of dodo? It's just fried plantain.
-
I know plantain is a type of banana
That's about all I understand from that lol -
Have you heard of banga rice?
-
Nope
-
You're missing out lol

As someone who is not in Nebraska

The sugar and dough cut the heat, and then the cinnamon compliments the flavor of the chili
-
But honestly a lot of Nebraskans don't even know why lol
-
BUT YOU'LL MAKE THE ROLL SOGGY WHY
-
No you don't dip it!
You eat it alongside
