Pag Island Handbook, Part 1
Introduction
Pag Island has been around for a very long time, native to Pags. They have usually been very secluded and isolated from the outside world, due to politics being almost obsolete in Pag society. However, for the past 100 years, Pag Island has opened up for visitors around the globe to stop by. Being a safe haven for those who simply need a break from the cruel world. However, Pag society does have its own set of rules and things it considers inappropriate. Here we will learn about Pag society.
Pag Culture; Religion and Spirituality
In Pag Island, there is one main religion, however they do not discriminate against visitors practicing other religions, as long as no being is harmed during the process.
This religion praises the deity Tibbles. They call this religion, Ibbelism. There are other deities in the religion, however, Tibbles is the one we look up to the most in this area. While she is not the most powerful of the deities, she is the most honorable of them. The sacred book is called The Bibble, and can be found in many stores. You will see a big, beautiful building in the dead center of Pag Island. This is The Temple of Tibbles. Here, offerings are placed inside the offer, for Tibbles to receive. Saturdays are days of worship.
Pags are both religious and spiritual. For example, Pags have an affinity for nature and animals, but the most important thing to them in this regard is the ocean. While they do not believe there is a deity of the ocean, they believe that the ocean is a way to guide them through life. You will see many people asking the ocean questions, meditating by the ocean, or simply being around it. Therefore, beaches are usually crowded in Pag Island. There are beaches that are private, only to be used as places for meditation and for guidance, but Pags can go to whatever beach draws them in, as it is their journey. -
Pag Island Handbook, Part 2
Pag Culture; Lifestyle and Geography
Pags tend to live based on what area they are in. There are two main regions of Pag Island.
Pags in the Pastella Region, a rural region, are usually farmers. They all get along for the most part, and usually live with other families of Pags in one house. Pags can only bud once in their lifetime, so families are usually small. The Pags work together to keep fresh crops and livestock for the rest of Pag Island. Pags in the Pastella region do not take kindly to trespassers, so make sure you have permission before going into small towns.
Pags in the Spectere region, a more populated region, usually keep to theirselves. They live more in apartments than houses. They run stores, hospitals, restaurants, and more. They are usually the ones the visitors will see the most. This is where the Temple of Tibbles is as well. Pags here can usually tell when there is a visitor, because Pags almost always wear nap dresses of different varieties.
There is a third region, called Reverie, but very few Pags are allowed to go there. It is a place where flora and fauna alike can flourish without Pags. There are only 15 Pags in the whole island that get to go there. 10 of the Pags, being researchers. 5 of the Pags, being guards, to make sure visitors don't try to get in. Pags will only intervene if there is some sort of invasive species destroying the environment, or something along those lines. -

Pag Culture; Things That Have Not Been Mentioned
Pags are also very respectful of the dead. It is considered very impolite to talk to a Pag in mourning. There are specific areas with giant trees, with a stone marked in front of it. These are places to mourn the dead. You can tell if a Pag is in mourning by the clothes they are wearing, and you can tell who they are mourning by the color they are wearing. Pags in mourning will wear long gowns, veils, and have umbrellas with them. If a Pag is wearing orange, that means a rare occurrence has occurred, and the budding process did not go as planned. If a Pag is wearing purple, that means they have lost a motherly figure. If a Pag is wearing blue, that means they have lost a friend. If you see Pags surrounding another Pag, wearing all white, that means they are solely there to support the mourning Pag.
Pags only form of modern transportation is an airport and a plane that gets visitors here. Other than that, Pags will usually walk to wherever they want to go. You are expected to do the same. The only other things are the rides for the amusement parks.

If anyone has any questions, please ask.
-
Are your people vegan, vegetarian, or omnivores?
-
We are omnivores! We do eat meat, but we do not eat the meat of wild animals, just animals raised on farms. We do not eat seafood, at all, due to the majority of Pags feeling it is offensive to the ocean. I hope that answers your question! ^-^
