I think the amount of mods there are is deceptive and it would improve the morale of the site to pass on mod status to newer users, regardless of the "need" for more. -
Personally, I have to disagree with this because the mods can't pass on their mod status, since that needs to go past GTQ guy, and while they could hand over their account I also understand why they wouldn't want to do that or would feel uncomfortable giving up their account.
-
If it was possible to transfer mod status, I would absolutely agree. However, mods are unable to make new mods, only GTQ Guy can. It would be unreasonable to expect people to completely completely give up their acount
-
I recognize that that's the current system. That's why I said I think we /should/ make that the new system, not that we can and are simply choosing not to. I realize it would take extra work to make that an reality.
-
The people that usually leave for good that are mods sometimes do give their accounts up
Like Carri04 for example -
Honestly, I believe that there should be the same amount of mods active on this website. If one person leaves, then gtq guy should have to choose a new one. But I do not think that the previous mod should give up the mod status. My reasoning for this lies in the fact that the gtq guy created this website, therefore he knows what a good mod should be. Only he knows who would fit this website in the way that he intends them to. Also, the gtq guy owns the website and if the mods are able to elect more mods, then I could see this starting a civil war lol.
Just so you mods and normal people know, I am not against you. I am just saying that I do not believe that that was the reason this website was created or the way this website was meant to be run, and that the creator of this website probably know what is best for his own website. -
Gtq guy is about as active as a dead sheep
-
Ok….
He probably is on this website but just only talks when he feels like he needs to. Idk, I’m not him lol -
gtq guy are you god because I feel abandoned by you
-
Gtq guy is about as active as a dead sheep
Dead☠
I mean we don’t even have a lot of active users anymore like we use too… it’s like the same ten people and all of their oc’s -
No offense the 1foru, but GTQ guy does not watch over the site. The mods had to handle an extremely stressful, and potential legal nightmare because he wouldn't respond their their emails lmao
-
I think that if someone's been deemed mature enough to be a mod you'd think they'd be capable of making a decision as to who else should be a mod. I'd trust the active user base more than I'd trust someone who isn't really here all that often. I agree with all this too because I think it'd also help make being a mod not seems like cult ish and unattainable thing and would promote good behavior. New users would have incentives to act mature if they have the tangible hope of someday being a mod.
-
Honestly, like even on the basis of this idea ever being possibile, there's not many mature users left, who aren't already mods. I disagree a lot with making minors mods for a forum site like this, which is what GTQ guy used to do.
-
Oh I’m sorry, and august, none taken! I said that because that was my opinion on gtq guy and I did not really know anything about him lol
