Thread Topic: I think my neighbor died
-
I live in an apartment complex and the neighbors adjacent to us parked their car next to ours. For the last 2-3 weeks, their car hasn't been in the lot and I noticed, but I didn't think anything of it until this morning, when I walked outside to see men in hazmat suits walking in and out of their mostly empty apartment with cleaning supplies.
I don't know what to think. Were they in a car accident? What happened. I didn't ask them what they were doing because I didn't want to be rude but I feel sick to my stomach now. They were only in their late twenties/early thirties and seemed very happy together. -
I bet that they are alright. Don’t worry. And I am sorry that they aren’t there and I hope that I am right.
-
Oh, God. Thinking about moving, now? I would. 🤢

Rip
If they were wearing hazmat suits it was likely due to a biohazard like a corpse or other remains corpses tend to leave -
Our lease is almost up and with the state of the economy I was already worried about paying 2k a month for another year but I just don't know if we can find anywhere else to live. My community has barely enough houses for the amount of people moving here so getting a place is nearly impossible

Well that is dark…

The dead neighbor thing certainly doesn't make me feel any better about staying
-
I am sorry for you! I hope that they are alright!

Personally I'd ask if there was some sort of hazardous material concern, considering the men in hazmat suits. Alternatively, they could be cleaning up a crime scene. You could always ask your landlord if it keeps eating away at you. Though they might not want to share your neighbors personal information, if there were a crime committed, or expose to hazardous material, I feel that they would need to inform you. Landlords are s---heads, tho.
A car accident seems unlikely with the people in hazmat suits.
That said, it is unsettling to see death so close to you and so suddenly. I hope it becomes easier to stomach soon. -
I just hope it was a car accident and the biosuits were for the dead dog and not because they died in the apartment and were just there for two weeks without anyone noticing
-
What I think that you should do is ask someone.
-
I plan on asking the landlords. Hopefully they don't lie to keep tenants from moving out. It just really made me feel sick to think that they died so young. Definitely a much needed reality check for me as sick as it is. I'm at work so I can't ask the people who were there but I definitely will ask who I can and maybe look up death certificates. I'll update you guys if I find out anything more

Have a great day! Hope it is good news! Bye!
