So, I'm a long time reader of Pag's work (( and her best friend btw /lh /hj))
And I think I have a theory
The figure who kills pag?
It's god.
Pag is actually an allegory for the devil, which we can see in the various ways the other pags died!
She's their killer, and this is a purgatory meant to contain her but she's too strong and so God has to keep intervening -
