Learning how to drive
Went on roads that aren't neighborhood roads or parking lots.
Didn't go well. -
haven't even started to learn how to drive but I know it's gonna be really hard for me, so I get that
-
Aah, I hear you. Driving can be really uncomfortable and scary when you're first learning. It gets better the more you drive
-
Yeah well, when you almost run into a bridge wall then almost crash into someone less than a minute after, you wonder if you're going to get better
-
...I mean to be fair, that's probably about as well as it's gonna go for me, if not worse .-.
-
That sounds really terrifying, I'm so sorry!
Trust me, though, you will get better. When I first started driving, the driving instructor said I drove like a squirrel. I felt like it was a fight for my life being behind the wheel. And when I first got my permit, I was involved in a minor car accident that made me stay off the road for months. But... eventually I got back in the car. And now I drive myself to work every day. Being in a large moving piece of metal is a crazy concept, but once you get more practice, it becomes easier to control the vehicle and learn to watch the habits of others on the road. -
Hey, Red
I commend you for at least being brave enough to try. I've yet to really start driving around a neighborhood. I'm too nervous, but you at least tried to drive on new grounds. Even if it's scary, now, I know with a little practice, deep-breathing, and persistence, you can do it. You're not one to just give up. -

You should absolutely be proud of yourself for giving it a shot. And remember, there's no pressure to rush out onto the road again. You can take the time to process the experience and build your courage back up to try again when you feel more comfortable. -
Thanks.
My parents keep on talking about getting me into drivers ed, but they never do.
I want to learn how to drive. It's just going to take a long while.
Hopefully my mom doesn't make me drive anytime soon. I drive when she tells me, not when I want to.
I'm usually very quick at learning things and I know that it's not going to be that way with everything, but I really wish it was that way with driving because I hate getting scared out of my wits like this. -
*hug*

I love you.🖤

I hope they'll get you in sometime soon. It's very helpful having someone who teaches people how to drive for a living.
Just remember — learning to drive is a delicate process. There's no pressure to get it down right away. So even if it takes you a while to learn, it's okay. You'll figure it out in a way that works best for you, and that's what matters most.
If you feel comfortable doing so, I think it would be good to let her know you aren't ready to drive so soon if she tries to get you back on the road before you're ready. Or if she does, maybe see if you can go back to a more comfortable zone (like an empty parking lot). You can still learn a lot driving that way. -
Thanks guys. I feel a lot better.
