My parents are Christian and don't accept LGBTQ+. I haven't come out yet, because I'm afraid that they will reject me.

Love, this happened just today. You wouldn't have heard about it. I know you're just following what you were taught to believe but now imagine that it were anything else. Imagine if your family abused you and disowned you for what you believe. What's great about america is our ability to make our own decision and the separation between our personal lives and the government. When the government decides to make people's personal decisions their problem is when you should be very concerned regardless of what issue it is. What if Texas decided that they wanted to criminalized Christianity? How would you feel then? That is how lgbt people feel right now. Your personal beliefs about LGBT people shouldn't outweigh your belief that people should be allowed to make their own decisions because that's between them and God, right?

If they were good Christians then they should be loving and caring for anyone, regardless of their gender. I think you parents will be fine! I, myself am a Christian and I believe that they should care. I am praying for your parents and you! Have a nice day, and I hope that Ukraine will be alright 😊

Curo, I know it doesn't do much for you, but I'd like to show you a song that helped me remember to accept myself when I was still questioning, and in the closet. It got me through the worst parts of relying on someone I couldn't trust to support me if she knew who I really was.
