So basically my sister has a basketball tournament next Friday and Saturday with a few other schools.
One of the schools that's going to be there was my old school.
I... didn't have an very good experience while I went there
And almost all of my old classmates are going to be there.
I'm going to have to sit in the stands next to them and interact with them and be nice to them when I never want to see them in my life.
And I know they're going to treat me the same way they used to.
And I want to cheer my sister on, but I'm dreading going there and seeing everyone again.
I'm trying to mentally prepare myself for it, but it's not going very well.
Does anyone have any suggestions? -

They went on for ten years. They're not going to change after two.
Plus I saw them last year and they hadn't changed -
Ask your sister if she's fine if you don't go. You can ask someone to record the tournament if you're that nervous.

I'm sorry I'm shooting down all your suggestions. I really appreciate them, though. I know I'm going to try and sit as far away from them as humanly possible and hope they don't spread out or come to me.
The only time I know I won't have to see them is when my sister isn't playing.
But even then, I might run into them.
Or if my sister's team gets out of the tournament early. But I want her to do well, I don't want to hope she loses. -
I kinda understand how you feel but why not try being rude if they are I know it sounds like a bad suggestion but it's the only thing I can think of

Oh I could bring my music and hide in the music room that they let everyone use.

I think that you should go. If they start to bother you then you can leave?

It's an hour and a half from where I live, if that's what you mean by leave.

I mean go outside of the gym or run to the restroom
