I'm a really old account. I originally joined in 2012 and for obvious reasons made a throw away to vent for a bit.
GTQ has never been a nice place. I don't feel like I can talk to anyone. All the dialog here is honestly really superficial and any attempts to have real conversations are met with coldness. Any attempts to be friendly are met with other users ignoring you or bland responses. It used to be different. GTQ used to be a decently nice place with a sense of community where people could culminate great friendships. Rps used to last more than two days and serious discussions used to be met with people who genuinely wanted to discuss them with you. Now it feels dead. I and many others feel extremely isolated from the GTQ clique/cult despite being consistently friendly, mature and sociable. -
Bro, people come and go. And life's not always peaches and cream. And maybe if you posted in your main, we'd know who you are. So many new accounts show up, I lose track of who I've met and who I haven't. Nobody's trying to make you feel unwelcome. But you have to be willing to accept that there will be comments you don't like, and if someone thinks your response was snarky, you best be prepared to take what you dish out. That's just life, man.

As is the case w any teenage dominated zone. You also may have just outgrown the general user base. As an adult member here, I definitely feel I do not belong in the friend circles of younger members here, I don't expect them to want some weird adult hanging around either though. In my personal experience, gtq back in the days was a lot more toxic and isolating for members. I have never seen a "serious discussion" go down well even back in earlier days lol. It has been a frequent issue here. It is quite dead tho ur right lol

I mean, i agree that you said "Now it feels dead". And i'm not really an OG, i joined originally around April 2021, but i feel ya. Since then so many friends have left and if not then GTQ was blocked, but it's so sad :(
But like the other post said, life's not all sunshine and rainbows (I think that's the correct way to say it lol). If they have to go, they do it for a reason. Maybe it's urgent or something. You don't know what's going on behind the screen. -
I feel this post, I feel really isolated here, and I used to be so close with everyone. Now I'm just here, seen but not spoken to, and my conversations never seem to go anywhere, and I know I haven't outgrown everyone, I'm only fifteen

GTQ used to be fun. I'd leave right now if i found a better site. This place is very toxic.

i'm on the fence honestly. when i was much younger, like almost ten years ago, trolls were rampant, accounts were hacked left and right, and there were all-out forum wars. the cliques were real. but i do feel a sense of nostalgia for the excitement of hopping on and talking to my old friend
