what spice said, but i also hate characters who are poorly written or who portray negative stereotypes or stigmas. take rika from mystic messenger. she could have been beautifully written and the storyline could have led to her getting the help she needs with her mental illness, but the writers write it off that she’s just insane and unfixable

not that mental illness is an excuse to do bad things, but to chalk it all up to “they’re a lost cause BECAUSE they’re mentally ill”. more issues with the writers and creators than the actual character, but i can’t bring myself to like a character like that

Ooh, ok. So people hate the villain because he has like two identities. He’s the good guys’ ally, but then he’s also the guy who’s been screwing with all their plans and stuff.

You make it seem like they really want to protect someone, like a child, and then have them sacrifice that person, like in an instant
