But I feel like some people might blame themselves, and maybe even follow in my footsteps. I don't want them to leave too, they've still got full lives. I've lived mine and I've messed it up, I even lost my soulmate. So I guess I just want to cushion the blow for the people I'm leaving

Not really, which is why I want to leave. I never had any children or marriages but I've done plenty. I just want to succumb to the beautiful oasis that is nature, and live out my days in peace
