Thread Topic: What is the very first thing you start with

For me, I always always always start with a line for the collar bone. This way I always know almost exactly which angle the body is facing. Then I work my way down, then draw the head last.
-
That’s.. something lol. Never really seen anyone do the head last.
I start with the head and work on the eyes right away. -
Well somewhere in the mix I try and do the head, but I don't draw the fact until last.
-
I start with the head, then a line for shoulder angle, hips, I start sketching shapes for the torso and pelvis, then I put down guidelines for arms and legs. I begin filling in details for the head and hair, and draw the body. Then I kind of scatter around filling in details. Hands or clothes are usually last for me
-
I start with the head, then the neck, then the rest of the body. Arms go last in the first sketch of my drawing.
-
So most of y'all start with the head.
-
For me, it honestly changes. Sometimes I start with either the eyes or head, then I do the neck, the shoulders to the rest of the body, and clothes last
-
Faces
-
Sometimes it differs for me too.
Faces??? But faces are so hard! -
If I'm doing two people interacting though, it's different. Like if they're looking at each other I draw the first person usually how I'd usually do it, and then when I draw the second person, I start with the head so that they're looking at each other.
Or if they're holding hands I start the second person with their hand/arm.
I always start the second person with whatever the first person is touching or looking at. -
Ok no faces I start with torso area
-
I start with the face area

body

Head.

i know im a bit late but
i start with the head then neck, work on the body, then erase the head and make it fit the body because i suck at proportions. the one thing i start detailing first is the hair
