Did the person who sent you the link say if they are a person here or not? If you are comfortable, could you possibly share the email of the person who gave you the link (put a space between the @ and one of the letters or else the site cancels the email)

Of course, I only posted the email because people on the internet commonly don't believe people when they say they clicked a link from an unknown email. Also I do know a bit about forums

Oh I believed you, all right, there are plenty of people here who would do such a thing... I'm not saying names, I'm not starting arguments, but I can think of plenty of people who would spam email random people, believe me.
Don't be surprised that this conversation is being moderated by, well, a mod. That's kinda what they do.
And as this is the only active thread, there's really nothing else for them to watch.
And ngl the questions I was asking could be seen as sus but I uh had to know certain things for already stated reasons -
