The reason that Christmas Shoes song keeps getting to me is because it's like a what-if scenario for me.
What if we hadn't found out soon enough and my mom's cancer had been stage 4?
I mean, I'm not struggling to buy a pair of shoes, but I mean, it's hard enough the way it is, what if she didn't have much time left?
And so whenever I hear that song, I start sobbing, imagining if I was in that boy's situation. -

Technically not anymore, she was declared cancer-free.
She's almost done with radiation, and then when she is they're going to double check.
After that, she has two surgeries, and then I think she's done? -
Wow. I know that's a hard process. My grandmother had to get all of that done. I'm glad to hear that your mother's going to be okay, though.
