I'm with Jill and Spice on this one

usually I just eat cream puffs and go to sleep. we also drink sparkling grape juice or whatever it is and pretend it's champagne.
Oh, in the south it's tradition to eat black-eyed-peas on New Years Day, so we'll do that. I thought everyone did that but apparently it's special to the southern US. Supposedly brings good luck. -
Like two years ago, my younger sister had friends over, and my dumb--- said something along the lines of "Welcome to a f---ing new year, kids" while they were recording videos of whatever was on the TV. I felt sooo bad
Several years ago, I got a collapsed lung a little after midnight and spent the two days of that year in the hospital. Good times -
wait we're supposed to eat black eyed peas on new years day? i wasn't informed of this tradition and we've been in the ~south~ for like. idk. many years now
-
typo in my first post, should say "spent the first two days of that year"
-
Maybe you should've had those blackeyed peas that year
-
We usually drink some bubbly liquid and stay up until midnight or something like that \_(•-•)_/
-
We usually go to some family friends and celebrate at their house with some of their family and their fat dog
-
Tat XD
Everyone eat your peas, we're gonna need them -
Should've eaten some peas this year
-
for the petty question
i’m the stick in the sand that said no
i may falter at times bc nobody perfect but i do not believe in being petty on purpose bc if i’m in a situation where that energy feels warranted, it isn’t in alignment with me/it’s not worth my actual energy. i just don’t engage; i could use that energy for smthing nice or productive. so i do LMAOO
also i’m watching doja cat perform my QUEEN 🥰 -
Definitely should have eaten some peas this year
-
you caused everyone to have bad luck in 2020 because you didn't eat any black eyed peas
-
I dont think there's really is a valid reason to be petty. And I want to make it clear that I'm guilty of this behaviour too, so I'm not tryna act high and mighty here.
But, to be petty is to purposely act stubborn or childish over something unimportant and minor. Right in the definition, its basically saying that its somebody giving an unwarranted reaction. So if you have a valid reason to be upset- are you being petty?
And, if we ignore that point and just try to justify somebody purposely acting petty - then I still dont think it's the right way to do things. I dont think it's okay to purposely inflict that energy or harm onto somebody else- because you're upset, or because you want them to know you're upset. You're not trying to solve the issue, or fix anything. You're not trying to communicate on equal grounds. You're just purposely holding onto your feelings and bringing those vibes onto other people to cause a reaction or scene. So I dont know how I could validate that behaviour, even if im guilty of it too. There's healthy ways to tell people you're upset, and being petty isn't one or them -
Okay, if you work retail and someone is being rude to you, be petty. That's the only times it's valid
So on New Years, my family always ate black-eyed peas, greens, cornbread and other things. Each one symbolizes something you want throughout the new year. Black-eyed peas: luck, collard greens, prosperity etc. There are a lot of traditions I was raised on, and it would tale a while to put all of them here. 😅
