So not that saved me but back when I lived in the dorms, I became friends with this girl who lived in my dorm building and had a few classes with me. We didn't really talk much, but we were on friendly terms.
One day, I was headed to the cafeteria and I saw her walking behind me with this guy I didn't recognize. She looked really uncomfortable. Once we got to the cafeteria, she started to talk to me and asked if we could sit together. Something was obviously wrong because she was very nervous so I said yes, of course. The guy was....really weird. He just kind of sat there in silence most of the time, chuckling to himself every now and then. He didn't do anything outright creepy, but something in my gut told me he was really dangerous. I walked with them both back to the dorm, but instead of leaving once we got to the lobby, I lied and said she and I planned to study together, and walked her to her room. He tried to follow us into her dorm but I said goodbye really loud and firmly so that he knew he wasn't coming in. She thanked me and told me he had invited himself to dinner with her and had been almost obsessive on Snapchat for a week, just because they hooked up once at a party.
After that, I started walking her to her room every day after class and after dinner. I didn't have any evidence that he would become violent or try to do something, but something in my gut didn't feel right. The guy made me sick. This lasted around until we went home for the break.
While on break, apparently the guy had gotten a girl drunk at a party and forced himself on her after taking her to his room. He was arrested that night.
The whole thing was really scary and surreal and I'm glad I was able to protect my friend, even if I didn't do much. I'm also glad the guy is in jail now. -

I actually brought myself to the nurse and actually saved myself
