So, I’m debating on watching “Yuri! On Ice” like my friend has been pushing me to watch.

yuri on ice (haven't seen it but from what I've seen on tumblr) seems to be a little more happy toned with some mxm romance(? or maybe that was just the fanfic edits lol)
death note i've seen. a very good kind of mind game anime, lots of action, drama, police like work. a very good and classic anime, one of the more popular ones.
might i also suggest a few more classics?
tokyo ghoul I remember being on of my favorites when I was younger. about a boy who lives in tokyo (no way) where there are ghouls (no way!!) that eat people and are kind of wreaking havoc on the city. a human boy gets caught up in the mess and it becomes this whole mess. i remember really enjoying the first and second season, but i believe the third got a little confusing, so keep that in mind when choosing (also it's pretty gore filled so if you are bothered by blood then don't watch)
attack on titan is also very good. i personally need to catch up on the newer seasons as it's been awhile since i've been able to watch anime. a young boy and his adopted sister watch their parents die at a young age after titans attack their city. in a sort of quest for revenge they join this force that basically goes out to kill titans, protect pretty much all of humanity, and try and regain land so their people can prosper and not live in fear anymore. like I said, i haven't seen the newer seasons, but I've heard nothing but good reviews. it's also pretty messy though, so again, viewer digression.
one that is probably my all time favorite in steins gate! it's a very good anime, action, suspense, good mind games. it's about these college students who pretty much accidentally discover time travel, but it ends up being a lot bigger than they thought. I can't really explain more without giving away big parts of the plot, but if you like detective type stuff I would highly reccomend watching this, especially if you end up liking death note (if you choose to watch it). it's my all time favorite anime, and it's not super gory or anything either (probably a pg-13 rating)
but yeah! these are just some of my reccomendations (: if you like light heart stuff like Hetalia, and Ouran highschool host club are also pretty good picks! -
