I wish my parents didn’t make me put away the dishes, because the knives are apart of that. The knives sitting in front of me were urging me to hurt myself and now I feel a little sick.

Try wearing thick stuff around the places you feel that urge. Then maybe it won't feel as potent and you'll feel more protected?
