we always do christmas events. in case you haven’t noticed, i’ve been here for four years, and i’m pretty sure i’ve hosted events like this before.

You wouldn't have started them yet. In a way, you wouldn't have suggested the contest because edits take time, and when you start the events later than now, you don't have time to put together a good edit.

Well, from our perspective there's literally no reason to get mad at her. So yes, we're trying to do that, but we're also trying to understand why.
I'm pretty sure we always do an art and writing contest (not much else you can do on a quiz website lol) and the cookies one is similar to the baking one we're doing on discord. I've never even heard of Scratch, and doubt anyone's ever done the roleplaying one, but other than that they look like your traditional GTQ Christmas events -
i can create in edit in ten minutes. i’m not stealing your ideas. i would have created this anyway.
