Wait that didn't work.
Anyway, Cham invited me to a server where you get gifts for inviting people or something, and the server @everyoned this Nexus thing. -
All it says is that it'll allow Nexus to access my username and avatar and join servers for me (I don't know why). It says that it won't have an existential crisis, whatever that's supposed to mean, and that the application can't read my messages or send messages to me. And once I authorize I'll be redirected to what I assume is the site the gift thing is at.
-
I wouldn't give it permission if it's going to join servers on your behalf. That seems like a scam.
-
Yeah, that's what I was thinking too.
What in the world is an existential crisis? -
Existential crisis, also known as existential dread, are moments when individuals question whether their lives have meaning, purpose, or value, and are negatively impacted by the contemplation. It may be commonly, but not necessarily, tied to depression or inevitably negative speculations on purpose in life.
-
That...doesn't seem like it fits.
This thing that we want you to apply to will not make you wonder what your purpose in life is -
That's just something discord does, they always have wacky phrases like that
As for the nexus thing, it's probably a scam, I wouldn't trust it -
Yeah, I already closed out of it.
-
It's a joke they add to bot descriptions to basically try and reassure you that the bot can't do anything malicious.
-
Alright. Thanks for helping.
-
No problem! You may want to let Cham know that it's a scam, though.
-
Yeah
