that saying really pisses me off lol -
Good news. The actual saying is;
“the blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb”
Which means the bonds we build by choice are stronger than those that are forced upon us from the water of the womb we came from:) -
woah hell yeah! that's way better than the meaning the shortened version's taken on

Yeah it had nothing to do w family and actually referred to the blood shed in battle bonds among soldiers
So it could also mean those you share your battles w and who fight alongside you and r there for u will always have a stronger relationship than the people you were simply forced to be w cus of the womb too
But what's important is that both takes on it dont have anything to do w the blood being lame family tho 😎 quite the opposite actually -

i especially love it because now if anyone uses "blood is thicker than water" on me i can tell them that they're not only wrong but also throw the actual quote back at them :))))
