It's a nice pfp.
I feel the usual, today: dead inside. How wonderful. -
I can't start my work yet, sooo...
-
I hate how it seems that I'm incapable of learning. I'm stupid and can't get past pre-algebra...
I want to kill myself. I'm useless. And it's all my parents let me know after days and weeks and months of hard work just to get yelled at about how much worse I'm doing. -
But, again, we can't do that.
I'm just so miserable.
Isn't there something I'm good at that matters in life? -
I'm sorry I just turned out to be the dumbest one in the bunch. They kind of make me feel like the runt in the litter, even though I'm not the youngest. They see so much in the others, and they shake their heads at me because I don't possess anything they think is wonderful. And if I do, though it's not what I'd like to be known for most, they wear it into the ground and make me feel like I've sold my soul just to live for that one thing...doing it forever.

Math is difficult & you shouldn't put yourself down over it. You're doing the best that you can, and that's all anyone can ask for.
-
Thank you.
It's just annoying that I've restarted the course three times and I still don't get it. -
I almost failed that class and then I failed AP statistics right after and I felt like a 🤡. But then I realized— not everyone is going to be good at the same thing, you know? We all have something that we're good at that someone else may SUCK at. So celebrate what you are good at.
As for struggling with the course, have you tried tutoring? -
Kind of.
My mom taught me, at first. Then she tried a supplemental DVD with it. Then my brother tried to explain it, and he's good at math, but that didn't work. And my dad tried visual demonstrations because he didn't pick up math well, either at first, but nothing worked. -
Are you homeschooled? Or do you attend a school?
Family is usually not very good at tutoring, in my experience. I've always learned better from fellow classmates, or from asking my teachers questions. -
I'm homeschooled.
They were considering getting an actual tutor, but with things the way they are, that's not an option. -
Are there no online tutors? Like, people who can tutor via Zoom or Skype?
-
I don't know, but we're not able to do video chats because we've been having internet problems and it's not safe.
-
Oh.. :( Well that sucks. I'm really sorry to hear that.
I hope you're able to conquer it this year. It's a s---ty class. -
Thanks.
I'll try not to think about that, now.
