Shatters explained Backstory! This is from an outsider pov, as opposed to the first person pov that i wrote his story in
Ebony was a orphaned child, his family haveing been killed off by monster hunters due to their unique bloodline. When he wandered into the village he was raised in, he thought he was safe, that he had found a new family and home. But he was wrong. The village knew what he was, and how powerful his magic would be as he grew. So they took him in to use him. They raised him to love the village, and to be entirely loyal to it, and to defend it with everything he had. So when an army came knocking, he did what he had been raised to to and killed them. But he was near fatally wounded in the fight, so the people that had raised him, that he loved more then anything in the world, ran him through with enough spears that he was left hanging from them as he left. In his anger and greif, he drew the hundreds of souls of the onea he had killed into his own body as he died, creating a Soul Hydra.
Ebony's rage, combined with that of the souls he had assimilated, drove the newborn Soul Hydra to destroy the ones who had betrayed Ebony, burning the village and its inhabitants to the ground. It wasnt untill severally hours latter that Ebony managed to seize control of the hive mind mass of souls, and realised what he- what [/i]they[/i] had done. And so he cried, his acidic tears burning trails down his face to mark him eternally of his grief. He never wanted this to happen. He just wanted his family back. Ebony was dead, but the Shattered Heart had been born in his wake. -
