So then, if you did happen to see them again, you'd think nothing more than that they usually walk that way

But you saw them kill a demon.

But where's the body~

If they killed a demon, the mundane would see the body vanish, just like all demon bodies do.

Then there's no proof, and if the mundane kept insisting on it, they'd be labeled insane

What about the ichor?

Whose to say that's not the oil stains we see on a roadway or in a alleyway?

So, they see a Shadowhunter kill a monster. The mundane doesn't know how monsters decompose. They might even do it right away.
They are told by other mundanes that it was just some sort of brain thing and that they're seeing things.
Then the mundane sees the Shadowhunter again.
The sight brings back the memory of the demon kill. -
Then, if confronted, the shadowhunters play the individual off as crazy or joking

Those tattoos sure look a lot like the icons on their runes weapons.

I've seen people covered in tattoos before. Never thought much of it

I just want to say, I did put on the tinfoil hat before I started pitching these ideas
