my aunt found out last year that I'm LGBT+ and atheist so she gifted me a book called "Believing God Is Good When Life Is Not" and told me it made her think of me with a passive-aggressive note attached. I found the book while going through my things and kind of want to send it back to her with some kind of f---ed up message. prob won't ever do that bc I'm not a confrontational or vengeful person but the way my family treats me and acts so high-and-mighty gets to me so bad that it's fun to dream up ideas.
some additional info that may help:
she is addicted to pills
she got fired from her flight attendant job because she couldn't travel due to a DUI
her son hates her and won't let her see his kids bc she's f---ing nuts
her hair is fried to s--- which is funny since she used to be a hair stylist and brags about it despite the fact that it was at Walmart and she only does Karen hairstyles
again, probably won't ever actually do anything so no idea is too low -
Maybe send her some self-help books?

she sounds like my grandmother on my dad’s side. she got kicked out of the pain clinic, so now she’s completely addicted to alcohol. it’s like she isn’t even entirely alive, like she’s slowly deteriorating or something.

Good idea. Ones about addiction and religion. Maybe a couple about reconciling with estranged children, or some instructional hairstyling guides. A subtle way to call her out and a nice hefty sucker-punch to her ego.

Get her one of those mannequins whose hair you can style. Fry the hair before you give it to her. Tell her it made you think of her and now she can be a hair stylist again! Bonus points for glazing over the eyes.
