I have a feeling that Alyssa and Avin are going to be friends. They are both against certain types of fowl.

Honestly, I usually have one character be afraid of geese since it’s a meme, and since Evie is scared of men...

I like my characters hate ducks because of a book series I really like.

I’ve updated Evie’s backstory a bit more. I had wanted to go with this but decided against it, but it fits her a lot more.
[TW sexual assault meant.]
Evie’s dad had a business associate who was having an affair with her mother. Evie’s mother is awful, and dislikes her as Evie is the child of her husband’s previous marriage which happened after Evie’s parents split the first time.
The associate took an internist in Evie and decided to try and get ‘alone’ time with her.
I can’t go into detail, but Evie was left scared of most men, and even more competitive with her siblings.
Her mother knew but accused her of lying, so she never felt Brave enough to tell her father.
Her father dotes on her the most as his youngest kid.
I’m kind of excited to see how everyone interacts with Evie, for the better and for the worst, -
