Heyo

How are you?

I find it scary that we dont want to die bc our brains are hardwired to facilitate survival at any cost and in a sense we are a slave to our brain and those ppl who want to commit suicide are the ones who has overcome this mental barrier.
true liberation. -

I'm good.
Not always. Sometimes that part of our brain just doesn't work. I don't have a survival instinct. Not really. Yes, I have tried to kill myself in the past, but I've always been more recklace than most. -
Awesome.
Maybe, it doesn't work. I'm really curious about it tho.
Wdym by not having a survival instinct? Not afraid of death?
Oh -
Mhmm
It doesn't. The brain is still a mystery to the human race still.
I don't care if I live or die. You can't really control when you'll die, and you can't stop it, so why worry about it?
mhmm -
Exactly! That's why neuroscience is my second favorite topic after astrophysics.
I see. You're right though, we cant control when we die (unless science make a huge progress in controlling death time, which is again highly unlikely). I'm kind of scared of death lol. I dont wanna die soon. ;-; -
Did you know scientists say that given time and some evolution and medical advancements, humans could grow and steady out at 7 feet tall and live for like 500 years?
I'm taking two science classes next year, my final year of high school: Astrology and Human Anatomy.
It is fascinating how there are still, even with all the studies they've done, there are still parts of the human body humans just don't know how they work.
Same thing with animals.Scientists STILL don't know how a cat purrs. They know they have two sets of vocal cords, but they aren't exactly sure how they work. -
That'd be great. Immortality is next to impossible but delaying death can be possible. Death happens because catabolism exceeds anabolism so if we can slow down catabolism then maybe we can live for 500 years or even more. From an evolutionary perspective though, our lives would get shorter tbh. Theres too much population in the world. Progressive evolution would want to decrease the number of our species.
I'm preparing to become a medical researcher, so if I can crack this one exam in my country then I can study alllll those delicious stuff. Do you love astrology and human anatomy?
Exactly! The more we study about our own selves, we find out a lot of stuff that are fabulous. Like, the fact that our heart doesnt need our brain to beat, or that we have a third eyelid and a third eye... ooooofff I love science uwu
