I've never had one of those.

I hate wearing makeup. One of the reasons is because it looks absolutely ridiculous, and it's kinda gross. Another is because it makes my eyes get super dry and water. I wouldn't mind it as much if I wasn't nearly crying every time I wear it.

Oh. I love wearing makeup. I don't think it's gross. What's gross is when you share mascara wands with 10 different people.

makeup doesn’t look absolutely ridiculous. there are plenty of subtle looks.

There's no reason for it except to make yourself look pretty. I don't care if I look pretty or not. And I'd rather not put a bunch of liquids on my face to do it. And I always end up poking my eye when I put on eyeliner.
