Is it because they're too sugary or...what?

They're too bland. The only flavorful thing about them is the jelly which isn't that good, and the frosting, which there isn't enough of. And the rest of it tastes like dough that was left out instead if being put into the fridge or used.

Fair enough. Possibly unpopular opinion of mine: Homemade tortillas taste WAY better than store bought ones.

I don't think i've ever had homemade ones. I bet they are good. Homemade are generally better than storebought.

Then there's also homegrown vs. storebought. The ones you grow are much better than ones in the store.
