Thread Topic: Things change.
-
The world moves on. Friends leave and family depart, sometimes for the convenience of life and other times the depravity of death and life. Business runs and society rises. In the still-scalding remains of the charred Earth and its mahogany wood, life rises again. It is a never-ending cycle as things leave, enter and return. Equilibrium is a constant and yet an impossibility simultaneously. Existence itself being a paradox.
Things change. Everything changes. Since the dawn of life, change has been the driving force for evolution, yet also vice-versa. Change changes evolution and evolution chases right back, like the flow of yin and yang, a cobra feasting upon its own tail. The ouroboros. The ouroboros of life never ceases to move, constantly consuming itself yet simultaneously never feasting the final dregs of its fathomless tail. yet again, life itself is a paradox.
All things are a paradox, concurrently diverging and coalescing, changing and remaining the same, dying and living, the rich and the poor, the man and the beast, reality, imagination and virtuality, the fine line in between. Everything is within contempt of each other, despite relying upon the things it reviles and contempts so desperately. Perhaps it does not realize this system of things, but regardless it feeds into it, becoming fodder for the endless loop of time and inevitability.
In all this haze of change, confusion and derision, humanity arose. a fledgling species, barely marring a few seconds upon the vast expanse of time the Earth has existed, humanity has risen from the apes and enslaved everything about. As we conquer earth and its residents, its residue, and its ethereum, the only thing left to enslave is reality itself, the boundless and ever-expanding borders of the universe.
But despite humanity's accomplishments, the cycle of change will never cease. Those with unfathomable wealth, those with destitute poverty. Those with immaculate health, those with sickly disease. Those with bounty, and those with famine. Those with power, and those silenced. The cycle will of course, never end. Everything changes. Everything begins. Everything changes.
Except for one constant in this voracious reality of ours. One inexplicable variable which has defied the relentless decay of time and change itself. The one creature above all others; perhaps god himself, or perhaps a being so utterly powerful that even man's vast knowledge and acute intelligence could not begin to quantify the power which it wields. The end and the beginning. Ouroborous itsself.
macoooo.
what the f--- dude, why are you still here. -
