Okay, so this is the story of Splatoon 2. I don't really know the full story of the first game 'cause I don't have it, but I'll fill in what I can along the way.

Inkopolis Square is home to the Inklings--squid-kid warriors, but also fun-lovers. All of the youth of Inkopolis visits the square in search of friends and activities.
One particular day, a certain Inkling was heading to visit the square to participate in Splatfest--the games of the Inklings. (Kinda like paint-ball wars.)
(The Inkling you use has no name, but I named mine Blush.)
Blush arrived at Inkopolis Square, ready for a good round of Turf War when she heard Off the Hook announcing breaking news. (Off the Hook is made up of the duo Marina Ida and Pearl, who are also a music duo.) They announced that popstar and singer of the Squid Sisters had disappeared. Furthermore, the Zapfish--Inkopolis' main power source-- had been taken from the square! -
