there's this guy in my science class who's pretty freaking cool in my eyes. he has no friends in that class, but he's kinda like reserved and chill af, so idk (if you know what i mean)
and today i tried to talk to him:
me: hi, child (i didn't know his name) *poking him*
him: *looks back, smiles* hi *turns away*
my friend imel: child? you're so weird?
me: well idk his name
him: My name is (im not gonna put his name), what's yours? *he said, not looking at me, texting on his phone*
i told him my name and then the bell rang. I really wanna become his friends but idk hoooow. like should i just casually talk to him until we're at friend level or just ask "can we be friends?" like i normally do??? what to doooo

All you need to do is stand by his desk and scream. Not too loudly, but not too quietly either. Spread your arms out while you do it, as if you're welcoming him into your life (just as a friend would do!)
