So I'm a sophomore (10nth grade). Now I really have to start looking at colleges and s--- because I'm supposed to apply in junior year. I want to work in mortuary science when I get older, and I think I have a college in mind. Now, my family lives paycheck to paycheck. This is my best shot at getting into college and achieving my life goal. We don't have the money for me to make a second attempt at college. I don't have that money. I have two younger siblings. I can't f--- this up.
A lot of people tell me to get grants, but I don't know how or the qualifications for one. So do any of you have advice on how I should get financial aid or just college stuff in general? Thanks for reading! -
Just go to community college. It cheaper and easier

I did pick a community college

Look at grants in your state!! Pell grants cover a lot of the costs depending on your family's income, and you don't have to pay them back.
Apply for as many scholarships as you can, too. -
Getting a scholarship is always a good idea, definitely not easy, but it can definitely help if money is tight.
and a really cheap but nice school is BYUIdaho, which is a mormon college and if you wanted to go you'd have to follow a honor code. It costs 8000-10000 for the entire four year, and im not sure if they have mortuary science, but they have a lot of different majors if you want to change yours -
Pell grants are pretty common, like I said they're income based. I suggest talking to your guidance counselor or asking someone at your school if they have a designated person to help with financial aid and scholarships.
