When people say an a--hole character is misunderstood and I’m like, nah he’s an a--hole.
Usually applicable to Draco Malfoy, yeah in later books he was under pressure that a child should never have been and his parents instilled some awful values in him but it doesn’t change the fact that Draco was still an a--hole.
Usually those types of characters get a huge following but everyone changes their personalities into sweet caring boyfriends and I’m like, nahhhhh.
Eg you could date f---ing quicksilver from that one series ( a specific version of him )but he’s not suddenly going to change to be a sweet caring guy, he set up his best friend to be arrested because he was jealous or something?
