  Today is my grandpa's 58th birthday. He has early onset Alzheimer's and is in either stage five or stage six of seven. I told him happy birthday and he replied "Oh, its my birthday. I forgot. Thank you for saying that. C'mere" and hugged me. He didn't know how old her was turning, but in that moment, I saw him shining through his Alzheimer's. It was the best thing.
