I'm going to be talking to my principal about it to see if he's willing to let us participate in some way. Was curious to know if anyone else would be trying to participate too.
(If you have no idea what I'm talking about, I'd love to fill you in. ) -
The alpha wolf Newbie?

What's that about?

Anti-gun violence protest. And if not anti-gun, a protest to change laws to make it harder for people to snatch up assault rifles.
"On Friday, April 20th we want students to attend school and then promptly WALK-OUT at 10:00 am. Sit outside your schools and peacefully protest. Make some noise. Voice your thoughts. "We are students, we are victims, we are change.'" -Twitter account @schoolwalkoutUS
"So, what's our plan? On Friday, April 20th, the 19th anniversary of the Columbine shooting we propose a National High School walk out. Don't attend school, wear orange and protest. Sign the petition on our page if you pledge to do so. #nationalwalkout #schoolwalkout" -Twitter account @schoolwalkoutUS
-
They also said that even if you aren't from the US, they'd like support. We've had 17 school shootings this year alone.
-
I have a picture if the tweet they sent out. Basically it says, wear orange, go to school then at 10:00 a.m walk out and silent protest in front of the school
-
i'd like to, but I'm afraid of getting in trouble for skipping
-
uhhh idk about that
I don't think I'm going to do that -
I might do it
-
Yee
I'm personally talking to my principal to see if we can organize wearing orange, if not trying to do something. Bc I asked if skipping would get us in trouble and he said it seemed unsafe
rip.. it's ok if you don't

I'd be at the career tech at 10 and professionalism is a huuuuge thing there and especially in my class since my teacher is a BPA advisor
and I'm not tryna get kicked out for just randomly walking out of classLMAO
it'd be cool if some schools were able to organize a thing like that though -
It's definitely a good cause but I don't think my professors want me walking out of class. I'll probably end up wearing an orange shirt that day though to show support.
-
I'll wear Orange too
-
I'll be wearing orange.
My school will most likely be doing something on that day. It might not be a walk out but it will be something. Two months ago there was a school shooting in my community, 10 minutes from my high school, and two students died. So it hits close to home. -
Ill wear my small, orange shirt to school and walk out
👌
