so i truly think ill feel better about myself if i start wearing makeup
there are times when i think i look fine but then other times i tell myself that im not pretty
my sister is the pretty one and i would show a pic of her and me side by side but itll only make me feel like s---
even without make up shes pretty
anyway..
would you apply makeup even if others said you looked fine? is it what people say that count? or is what you think?
would you wear makeup regardless?
or would you stop? -
It's whatever you feel comfortable with. And while makeup can dress yourself up, it can also hide the true beauty of your face. For me personally, I always go for the natural look, and only wear makeup if I feel like it, or for special occasions. Since I don't doll myself up that often, everyone always says how pretty I am when I do wear a lot for fun. But if I were like that everyday, I doubt anyone would notice as much. But yeah, it's your preference

whale what if i go for a much natural look
-
I am a boy who wears makeup and I find this sexist.

Make up is an art. It's supposed to make your good features even better. If you're wearing makeup because you're insecure, then I, personally, think it is unhealthy. I had a lot of self image issues when I was younger and always wanted to wear makeup to cover up whatever I didn't like, or wear it because I thought it would make me look pretty. This is very unhealthy; it'll make your self image issues even worse. Before wearing makeup, I highly suggest that you find things that you like about yourself. Of course, I realize that this is easier said than done, but something that personally helped me was Instagram. I had it as a private account for a bit, posting pictures of myself to get comments only from friends, and they pointed out everything that they liked about me. Maybe, if you're comfortable, you could do something like this as well? Point is, if you can't accept yourself without makeup, then it's unhealthy and damaging your own view of yourself, and wearing makeup for the purpose of looking pretty can be harmful.
May I ask what exactly you dislike about your appearance? -
go be a double somewhere else
-
oh why did you have to unload me with all of that :(
skin
thats all -
As in like, skin color, acne, freckles?
-
somewhat acne but mostly the skin color. i have these greenish dark spots, and my mom thinks its bc i dont eat properly but idk
-
that could very well be the reason. I'd suggest eating tomatoes, and maybe using olive oil instead of vegetable oil. And if you're going to have any sweets, dark chocolate is the way to go. They have antioxidants and just overall really help your skin in general. Almond milk, if you could switch, would also help too. In fact, if I remember (don't quote me on this) dairy products in general are just bad for your skin so perhaps steer away from those. This could help your skin a bit, but it'll for sure take time as body changes are slow.

Yeah you are kind of affected by what you eat so definitely go healthy. It'll help with the acne. And yes don't use makeup to cover up your insecurities. That's why I like going natural. It just highlights your true beauty instead of covering it up
-
wow.. thank you for the tips. really!
-
thank you
-
yeah, and if that doesn't work out, hmu and i'll try to search more into it!

Oh yes I think a lot of it is dairy. Milk makes me break out. Go for the almond milk and cut down on ice cream
