Thread Topic: The House [A Text Type Adventure]

You step into the house, the smell of dust floats through the air. You almost gag with disgust, but you press forward. You see that you are with several other people, but they are focused on looking around.
You see that to your right, there is a kitchen. It looks dark, but you can still smell a faint hint of apple pie. To your left is the living room. You can hear the floorboards creak and there is a slight light shining through, so you see an old rug that looks like it has been there for ages. Just head of you is a staircase. Some of the steps are broken, but you are still able to make your way up them.
Right in front of you are a group of back-packs. They have supplies in them that you'll need in order to solve the mysteries of this house.
You start out with these pack. Here's what's inside:
-flashlight
-batteries
-two bottles of water
-first aid kit
-photograph
-rope
-two candy bars
What will you do?
1.) Go into the kitchen.
2.) Go into the living room.
3.) Go upstairs. -

RelevantNerdist, Stardust1 and Charlie Philips have chosen to go into the kitchen.
As you walk further into the kitchen, you continue to smell the sweet apple pie, but it gets stronger with each step further into the room. You look around and see that there is still food on the table, as if someone had left it there and had planned to come back, but the stench from it was awful, but almost gone. The bones from the turkey almost bleached a pale white, and the rest of the food had turned to mush. The room still looked dark and RelaventNerdist turns on the light switch. Surprisingly, the lights come on, but they flicker out every so often, leaving the others slightly nervous.
In the kitchen you find:
-a baseball bat goes to Stardust1
-a hunting knife Charlie Philips
-another old photograph that holds a clue to the house goes to RelevantNerdist
1.) Continue to explore the kitchen, and see what you find and what secrets can be hidden.
2.) Go explore another section of the house. [Your choice, of course]

[b]IAmJosh has decided to go upstairs.
As you walk up the stair, the floor-boards squeak because they haven't been walked on in years. You looked around and notice something in the middle of the hallway and got to pick it up. As you approach this object, you realize that you could go left or right.
Upstairs you find:
-a black back-pack
-another flashlight, but it has a paper inside
-a matchstick that is covered in gasoline
1.) Go left.
2.) Go right.
2.) Go back downstairs and choice a different location to explore.

WolfLove has decided to go into the living room.
As you walk in the living room, the curtains are immediately drawn back by an unseen hand. You now see that the rug is a dirty white color that is tinged with dark red. It looks majestic, yet macbre at the same time. There is no television, only a fire-place and a checker board. Not to mention the sofa in the center of the living room.
In the living room you find:
-a broken photograph, that looks like it could go with the one in your bag
-a rolled up piece of paper with some cryptic writing on it
-a small dart gun
