although the LotR quiz was for fun. not many people take movie quizzes
-
oh and how was the quiz?
-
In the beginning of the lord of the rings books J.R.R. Tolkien talks about how people are remembered throughout history. Most the people that we remember are murderers that carry a cross. I wasn't sure how much Christians liked lord of the rings.
-
the quiz was good. Except the question about gollum and smeagol. Smeagol did kill his brother.
-
well it's just for fun. fantasy world. really cool, love the action scenes. I know that some Christians don't watch that stuff while others watch more intense things. I think it's mostly how you handle it. Like for me, it's fun. And I also think about how Tolkien was friends with C.S. Lewis, who wrote the Narnia books. And Narnia is like a representation of christianity
-
right forgot about that. Although I think the Gollum side is worse
-
Yeah I just googled it. Tolkien converted C.S. Lewis to Christianity. I wonder why it says that in the book (people who are remembered are murderers that carry a cross) interesting.
-
idk google that
-
about the last question on my quiz, who do you think is better, Frodo or Sam?
-
religion is powerful though, I was at a buddhist temple and I felt someone looking at my thoughts or memories whatever you want to call it
-
I like Sam more than Frodo.
-
Probably because of the other movies Sean Astin was in. Is the reason I like him more.
-
I wouldn't know what to call it. I know that during some Christian worship, it's very powerful. Holy Spirit moving around the room. I was at a Christian camp, and during the worship, teens everywhere were just breaking down and crying wherever they were.
-
Frodo was kind of whiny. Sam was loyal and brave. He never let the ring control him. Sam is just awesome.
-
I think there's people using mind control out there, and religion deters the interference or people even help you with mind control. So if someone broke down crying I think the people using mind control were just testing it out. I think Christians might be guilty of tampering with other religions though. Sorry it's what I truly think.
