Why would there be respect remaining when they physically and emotionally harm you? A healthy connection with your child doesn't normally require excessive violence and verbal abuse. Getting put into state care sounds incredibly awful, but it's better when the stakes of your life is in the hands of a failing mother. It really depends on the court of law and the choice of custody and placement. If the odds are in your favor, you will be placed with a trustworthy family member that is still alive and can be found.

Well, I'd much rather stay where I am. Although, I get where you're coming from.
SkyKirin, I'm basically ranting about Japanese Potato having ignored me for nearly a week and she is telling everyone else that her other friends and I are ignoring her. -
