you don't have to ignore all the threads your friends didn't make. you just have to pay attention to troll-like behavior, and if it would be a good idea to reason with them (the answer is no). a lot of trolls recently talk about nigeria and yorkshire and like to talk about where people live for some reason. they also just want to see a reaction, so if you see any of that, just leave it be
