Only mods can enter/see that forum. Probably so none of the trolls yell at them for decisions. Sadly, I think you have to be friends with all the mods in order to be selected as a Mod. We can't be mods for a long time because we're still newbies.

The forum is actually called "Mod Talk." There had, at one point, been a screenshot of the forum that was posted in the lounge to be used as a joke. I'm sure if one searched for it you'd be able to find it.
As far as I'm aware we haven't used the forum itself for at least an entire month. We contact each other through other methods, offsite, apart from those who are on a hiatus or are no longer here.
You do not have to be friends with a moderator in order to become a moderator. For example, Alex3000 isn't a best friend of any of us but he is still a part of our team. Moderators are chosen by GTQ Guy himself. He takes recommendations from both ourselves and regular, non-moderators. Moderation isn't based off of relationships, it's based off of someone's actions and how they approach problems. -
Oh, okay. Cause I remember hearing the last two people who became Mods were liked by all of the other Mods. I could be mistaken though. Thanks for explaining!

No, that's true. The active moderators do appreciate Seth and Mirari. But that doesn't mean we won't take moderation seriously and that we're going to always agree on things. We've debated among ourselves over what is deletion worthy or not before, and we've had split sides on the matter despite being close friends. We've just recommended them both and GTQ Guy agreed that they were moderator material. Again, it doesn't mean that someone we don't talk to can't become a moderator- it just so happens that the moderators that were selected all know each other. Then again, when you think about it, this site is pretty small. It's hard not to at least know a little bit about someone, if not know then completely.

*What Road said is also very true. If you go and find candidate threads, they were a popular choice among all users besides just us.
