At first weapons were positioned on us, but then they recognized me and let us through.

"Hard to believe anyone could live in a place big as this. How do you fnd your way around?"

"I-I-I don't know."

"Oh, guess that makes sense." I said, laughing. "Leaving here your whole life, must just be memory."

Then my dad saw us.
"Dinah! Where have you been?! And what is this?!" he shouted picking her(Hat, I forget your charri's name) up. -
"My name is Esemenda, sire." I said, my arms and legs wriggling around in the empty air.

"Father, please put her down. We share a close bond."

"Yes sire, we came here to see if you knew why."

"A close bond, eh? I have no knowledge of Esemenda, dear Dinah." my father said, studying her.

"Just a coincidence, then." I said, laughing nervously. I didn't like the way he was looking at me.

"Please father, before dinner, may Esemenda stay, I'm sure I know her."
My father's bushy eyebrows jerked. "Fine" he muttered -
"Thank you, sire." I said, "And sire, c-could I please be placed back on the ground?"

He lowered her. "Run along." he said, waving goodbye

I did a slight curtsy, and started down the corridor with the princess. "Your father is quite scary." I said, when we were out of ear shot.

"I know, but a daughter must obey her father, musn't she?"
