Soon, the tired girl fell asleep. -
midnight saw that the sun was starting to come up, so he ran straight to deathstar's cave and fell asleep there and was asleep for the whole day in till it was night time again ( he is only awake at night ) ( can you make sumara wake up during the day while midnight is asleep and do some stuff? )

Sure
Rays from the rising sun fell on Sumara's face and woke her from her rest. She stratched and yawned, ready for the day ahead of her. -
midnight was still asleep with deathstar, he was in the deepest and darkest part of the cave, no sunlight could ever get in even a tiny bit close from his area in the cave

Sumara smiled, feeling the power of the sun rain down on her like heavy rain.

Her eyes shot open suddenly, and worry covered her face. "A solar eclipse, today."

( why is a solar eclipse such a big deal? please tell me )
midnight was STILL asleep -
During certain phases of the moon and sun, certain things will happen
During a solar eclipse, Sumara looses her abilities for that week
"Great, just when I had it all figured out. Now I'll be a stupid mortal." she sighed. -
( so does that mean that the sun is blocking the moon in the night? )

It means that during the day the moon with cover the sun and no light will come through

when the sun got a little higher, suddenlt, everything went dark and the moon was covering the sun, when it became dark, midnight woke up and was a little confused, he thought to himself," is it already night time?" when he went out of the cave, he noticed that the moon was starting to block the sun, no sunlight was out so he wasn't getting weaker for some reason, midnight became even more confused -
Sumara then felt the gut wrenching sensation of having her very essence torn at. She stifled a scream, waiting for it to be over.

midnight heard a scream and ran towards it and noticed it was sumara -
Like I said, the solar eclipse takes away Sumara's abilities for the following week
Taking someone's abilities tug at their essence, or soul, which cause a pain worse then Hell
As the moon continued to look down on the world with it's black glow, Sumara's esssence was continually being torn and tugged and stretched.
