Which is why I hate every love interest in video games. If you cut the romance out of the equation, the plot would be fine. I probably wouldn't hate Dagger from FFIX as much if she wasn't a love interest. Hell, I might not even give Yuna from FFX such a hard time. Books and movies are no different. I hate this glorification and emphasis on romance. Bleh.
