Well, first off, this would be one lame dream

I've literally thought the same thing. What if you're in your own unique world, and you're not real? You would literally be living a lie.

Maybe we would be the dreams of our younger selves and therefore can change all our decisions in life to what we really want to happen. Fix our mistakes. Maybe eternal slumber is the awakening from this dream. Who knows?
